Frequently Asked Questions

What is included when I work with you?

I have spent my career developing my personal framework for working with students and I try to give every last bit through my course and coaching. This includes a variety of activities, personalized question and follow-up whenever needed. Most students report that the information they receive is overwhelmingly helpful to getting them moving towards their defined goal.

How long will the process take?

I know that every student is different. I also realize that some of us need deadlines! For this reason, I created a pre-module to my framework that talks about time commitment and time management. This way, every student can map out a time to make the most of the program. Typically, 4 weeks is a great timeframe but everyone is different in their needs.

How will this be different then what I had in High School?

Everyone had a little bit different experience in high school so the first thing I do is ask students to consider what they already have in terms of self-awareness and resources. But, mostly, I don’t have a caseload of 500 students that need letters of recommendation, testing results and transcripts sent. My work is about discussing who you are as a person and developing a path around that. While my school counseling peers do amazing work, they often just don’t have the time to devote to each of their students.

What does my investment get me?

This program is an investment and that needs to be taken into consideration. If the client is ready for this program, open to new ideas and a new way of seeing their future, this program will open ideas and thoughts that will propel you into action. If the client is reluctant or resistant, it won’t. I’m confident in this framework because it has helped hundreds of students but only because those students were ready for help.

What outcomes should I expect?

When students work through this program, they often report feeling more confident, having a better understanding of self and have a detailed plan of action that they feel committed to and investment in. How clients take this program from there is up to them but many of my students report years later that they still use the tools and techniques they developed with me.

I want my child to work with you but they aren’t sure, what should I do?

No. Your child needs to be the one that is ready for this program. I am happy to talk with them to answer questions but I won’t waste your money.

What I do offer are parenting workshops and 1:1 parent coaching that helps parents of young adult children navigate the waters of moving out of constant parenting to helpful consultant. Feel free to contact me to discuss.
